It’s one thing to know the Rules of Evidence — it’s another to understand how to use and argue them effectively in court. This course provides hands-on training to help prosecutors master this important trial skill, with an emphasis on complex topics such as character evidence, digital and video exhibits, impeaching witnesses, and confrontation issues. After a presentation that breaks each topic down step by step, participants will have the opportunity to practice what they have learned using sample cases and problems.

This two-day, interactive workshop offers a unique opportunity for Chief and Senior Assistant District Attorneys to connect, collaborate, and exchange proven strategies for effective leadership and prosecution management. Participants will engage in facilitated discussions, explore innovative approaches to common challenges, and share best practices that strengthen prosecutorial teams and outcomes across the state.

This three-day program is designed for professionals who serve on the front lines of the justice system. Through interactive workshops, expert-led sessions, and peer discussions, participants will explore the cumulative impact of high-stress work, identify strategies to manage operational and emotional fatigue, and develop tools to enhance personal and professional sustainability. The program will focus on maintaining purpose and building long-term capacity to continue serving with integrity, strength, and clarity.

Testifying in a DWI case can be terrifying. So can asking the questions. This course will take the fear out of the courtroom by practicing in a setting where there are no mistakes. Following short lectures, small groups will practice what they just learned, honing skills and discovering new methods.

Using historical images and other records from the Holocaust, this course engages law enforcement professionals in a dialogue about their critical role in today’s communities and the importance of core values and personal responsibility in ensuring the integrity and vibrancy of democracy. Starting with personal reflections and then working through the examination of the legal and political framework of Nazi Germany, this program concludes with consideration of how “What You Do Matters” every day.
